HomeCare Elite Names MidHudson Regional Certified Home Health Services A Top 100 Agency In The United States

MidHudson Regional Hospital, a member of the WMCHealth Network, is proud to announce that Certified Home Health Services has been named one of the Top 100 agencies in the nation by HomeCare Elite, which annually recognizes the best home healthcare providers in the United States. Certified Home Health Services has been honored with recognition for six consecutive years, and since the service launched, has been included in nine of the 10 HomeCare Elite listings.
The HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of agencies and highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Out of 9,718 agencies considered, 2,431 are elite.

The Certified Home Health Services team consists of New York State registered and licensed nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, registered dietitians and medical social workers as well as highly trained home health aides. They provide a smooth transition from a hospital or sub-acute rehabilitation facility to home care and are focused on ensuring patient safety, communicating best practices and delivering instruction about medication, in addition to providing care.
