Dedicated emergency care for children is available in Poughkeepsie at MidHudson Regional Hospital. From serious injuries to burns, scrapes and bruises a specialized pediatric emergency team is on site 24/7. And if a child needs to be hospitalized, our inpatient unit is ready.

The new emergency department meets the urgent healthcare needs of patients from birth to age 18, with care delivered by pediatric emergency medicine specialists. From serious trauma to scrapes and bruises, providers in our pediatric emergency room are trained to deliver effective and compassionate care – 24/7.
The layout of our pediatric emergency department is open and bright, allowing our care team easy access to each young patient while ensuring privacy for children and their families.
The new emergency room can be accessed by calling 911, or by arrival at the hospital’s main Emergency Department entrance.
