Fabio O. Danisi, MD, Appointed Associate Director of Neurology at MidHudson Regional Hospital

Fabio O. Danisi, MD, has joined MidHudson Regional Hospital as Associate Director of Neurology. With over 20 years of experience in his specialty, Dr. Danisi has been practicing in the Hudson Valley since 2002.
Dr. Danisi is active in the field of movement disorders and is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Essential Tremor, Huntington's, Chorea, Dystonia (including but not limited to spasmodic torticollis, writers' cramp, spasmodic dysphonia, blepharospasm), Tics and Spasticity.
In addition to pharmacotherapy, Dr. Danisi employs other treatment methods, including botulinum toxin injections, intrathecal baclofen pump management, and Deep Brain Stimulation. He is principal investigator for several clinical research trials in the fields of Parkinson's disease and Dystonia, and has published book chapters and peer-reviewed original articles on these topics. Dr. Danisi joins a neurology team known for its expertise in the treatment of stroke, neuro-trauma, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, neuro-muscular, peripheral nerve injury, pain, neuro-geriatric memory disorder, gait and balance disorder, neuro-otology (skull base) and neuro-ophthalmology.
A native of Rome, Italy, Dr. Danisi completed his neurology residency and movement disorders fellowship training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Hudson Valley Magazine has listed Dr. Danisi as one of the area's "100 Top Doctors" each of the past three years. In addition, he annually organizes "Hudson Valley Movement Disorder Education Day" in the community.
